News

The sample claims booklet (in digital form: HTML, DOC, ODF, PDF and PDB) is still available for download. It needs a few edits, and I will be asking Garry to do that to get it updated.

Do you have a claim of any kind, unusual circumstances, out of the ordinary or otherwise that you have made that was sucessfully paid that may not be included in Garry's examples? If so please send me the wording and what it was for. We would like to build a complete library of sample claims. Email or drop in the mail slot. Thanx!

Photo Gallery

If you have any photos you would like to contribute to the photo gallery, it is best to get them to me in digital form. I would like them at least 800x600, bigger is OK. It has been fun putting it together and I look forward to seeing the albums grow. Member's pics, Train wrecks, Whatever, railroad miscellany of any kind is welcome.

credits and personal comment

Welcome to the rebuilt incarnation of the BLET division 383 website. For those wags who commented "It looks just like the old one!", most of the overhaul was under the hood, and I am much happier with it. As before, The hope is to have created a useful and relevant resource. This effort is still a new adventure for your webmaster, and although I am loath to post "Under Construction" signs, please be aware that you may stumble over an occaisional bump in navigating this site. Yes, it is a work in progress, always will be...but every attempt will be made to keep it fresh, newsworthy and perhaps even entertaining. I welcome comments and critique and will consider any suggestions for improvements to this site. There is an email link on the left pane - please use it. Thanks!, and visit often.
The web author for this site is Derwin Lee Self. This site is built with the intent to be a standards compliant website, But since this is a learning experience for me, you may not see every page in the same way I designed them. It was built on a Debian Linux machine (I quit paying the Microsoft whore long ago), using Opera, Firefox and Konqueror as my web browsers of choice and the plain old text editor Kwrite for all the HTML and CSS. This site will display nicely in Firefox or Opera, or Konqueror, if you are trying Linux. I have also just discovered that it even looks OK in Internet Explorer now... wow.
